The Role
Project Managers act as the liaisons between our clients and our internal departments. They use their expertise in customer service, organization and communication to keep projects on track. This includes setting procurement and delivery schedules, tracking the status of various submittals and processing change orders.
Duties include:
- Tracking project milestones and ensure Trillium’s contractual commitments are met
- Organizing and coordinating internal teams (ex. detailers, purchasers, shippers, installers)
- Submitting and tracking project documentation
- Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers and subcontractors by email and telephone.
What we Look for
If you have the following skills, you might be a good fit for a Project Management role.
- A background in commercial doors, hardware and/or access control
- DHT designation or other relevant industry training
- The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, door schedules, elevations
- An understanding of the OBC, particularly with respect to accessibility, fire and life safety
- Experience in construction management (scheduling, handling submissions, document management)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization skills and an aptitude for customer service

The Role
Detailers specialize in the technical applications of doors, frames and hardware. They are responsible for producing documents like specifications, hardware schedules and shop drawings.
Duties include:
- Working with architects, designers and internal teams during pre-tender, tender and construction phases
- Developing project documents, such as shop drawings, elevations, hardware schedules and specificatons
- Providing technical advice on product applications
- Reviewing, analysing and interpreting architectural drawings, elevations and other documentation
- Budgeting projects
What we Look for
Detailing is a highly technical role that requires significant levels of industry experience. Candidates are expected to have:
- A strong technical background in commercial wood doors and frames, hollow metal doors and frames, architectural hardware and/or access control
- Professional designation (ex. AHC, CDC, EHC), or other relevant industry training and experience
- A detailed understanding building codes, including accessibility, fire and life safety
- Several years’ experience developing shop drawings, hardware schedules, electrical elevations and similar project documents
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam and similar software

The Role
Our Service Department is known for its exceptionally high standards of quality. The team is dispatched throughout the GTA for installation and service of automatic door operators (ADOs), mechanical and electronic hardware, and access control devices. They also design, maintain and expand high security key systems for commercial properties.

The Role
Trillium’s Purchasers and Administrators provide crucial support to the project teams. They are the liaisons between Trillium and our vendors.
These roles are often an excellent entry point into the architectural opening industry. Many people who join our Purchasing and Administrative staff have advanced into other roles with the company.
Duties include:
- Submitting and tracking Purchase Orders
- Working with our warehouse team to ensure material is picked up and received efficiently and correctly
- Confirming and updating pricing for multiple stock and custom-ordered items
- Maintaining an accurate inventory count
- Investigating issues with back orders or incorrect material
What we Look for
- Experience working with a distribution company in a similar role
- Educational background in logistics or similar area
- Strong communication and organizational skills
